The Dynamic Facade designed by German architect Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner ZT is another proof and testimony of the ingenuity of man. An office building designed for Harald Kiefer Metallbau GmbH in Steiermark, Germany has its facade change dynamically to adapt to the needs of the users.

Movable panels change dynamically on the facade of the building, covering or exposing the glass panels underneath like eyes with its eyelids blinking to the needs of its host.

Because of the ability of the facade to create or remove a glass window, it moves away from the conventional designing and arrangement of windows and openings of defining and separating important interior spaces from the insignificant spaces. This gives the user more room for creativity and flexibility.

The look of the facade of the building can change as often as the user wants it to.
Below you'll see a video showing the Dynamic Facade in action.
