This is yet another creative design using the kids' colorful blocks toy, LEGO, and this time as a functional furniture for an office setting.

The architects, abcg Architects, were commissioned by a newly created advertising agency Boys and Girls to design their office in Dublin, Ireland.  And as part of the design, abcg had a very playful idea for their conference table.  They made the table top entirely out of LEGO blocks.

This piece of furniture does stand out against the white walls and floor of the board room because of its colorful bricked patterns.

The table, sized at 1.2 x 2.7 meters, consists of 22,742 pieces of LEGO pieces clicked together with a Boys and Girls logo built into the LEGO construction.  A 136mm diameter grommet is provided in the center for wire access and then topped off with a 10mm thick sheet of toughened glass.  All these sits on a polished Stainless Steel tubular section structure completing the whole colorful conference table furniture.
