This Wash and Go Laundry Device is one of the eight finalists in the Electrolux Designlab 2010 competition. The competition focuses on the living conditions of people in the year 2050, when it is predicted that a greater population would be living in compact spaces in an urban environment setting. The winner would be announced by the 23rd of September 2010.

Designer Lichen Guo from China calls this device the Dismount Washer. Its design combines the functions of a laundry basket and a washing machine in one. This replaces both equipment which saves more space. When used as a washing device, the Dismount Washer is placed on a wall mounted motor or an "energy stick" which then rotates and cleans the contents. At the same time it releases steam to help with the washing and cleaning.
