This clothe cleaning closet is one of the eight finalists in the Electrolux Designlab 2010 competition. The competition focuses on the living conditions of people in the year 2050, when it is predicted that a greater population would be living in compact spaces in an urban environment setting. The winner would be announced by the 23rd of September 2010.

Designed by Michael Edenius from Sweden, this all in one laundry concept which he calls the "Clean Closet" is basically a laundry device in a closet. Far from the conventional way laundry machines work, this closet, as clothes are hanged, scans impurities present within the fabrics. Then using molecular technology, it removes the dirt and the smell present in those clothing. Because of it's design, it already replaces laundry baskets and the conventional washing and drying machines which saves space. And then as water is no longer needed, also contributes to the environment.
