Introduction

This work is one of most interesting images I ever did. The idea was a vision from my mind for abandoned building. I felt that I live inside the design and I worked with every single detail as if it was the design itself. It was very nice journey with the world of textures and lighting. In this small making of I will explain the lighting, texturing and rendering steps/settings taken for creation of this image.

Introduction - The mini taxi project was an old idea in my mind i finally did it. This bitty vehicle used as a taxi in many countries because it is active and inexpensive.  It has many nicknames like Raksha and Tok Tok. The project took me one month of free time to complete it.  The whole project was modeled in 3ds max 2008. Here you can find some of references I collected from many sites on the web during working in this project.

3ds Max Shortcuts Customization

3dsmax-keyboard.gifI'll show you how you can create and customize your own 3ds Max Shortcuts.  Although 3ds Max have already assigned default shortcut keys to a lot of its tools and commands, we can still override these settings or assign new shortcut keys to further enhance our work flow while working with 3ds Max.

This is to compliment my last entry, 3ds Max Shortcuts.

3ds Max Shortcuts

3ds-max-shortcuts-01.gifI highly recommend using the 3ds Max shortcuts available for every tool and command rather than pointing and clicking on their respective icons and menus and this is simply because shortcuts access the commands way faster than the point and click method. The difference might just be a few seconds but if you count the number of times you access any tool or command in 3ds Max by pointing and clicking rather than using the shortcut keys in one project, those few seconds add up to minutes or even hours.

Take note that the 3ds Max shortcuts are not case sensitive, so you can use either the lowercase or the uppercase and it would yield the same results.

The image above shows the front side of the Quick Reference Cube that came along with Autodesk 3ds Max 2009.  The other five sides of that cube show the list of default shortcuts of 3ds Max you may use while using the program.

3ds Max Rendering: Office Building Exterior Perspective

office-building-perspective.jpgThis is really not one of my best works but I'm especially proud of this one.  It's an exterior perspective of an office building we were designing in the architectural firm where I'm working at.

If you're also an architect and have worked for an architectural firm for some time, you would understand that some projects can be slow-paced and with a very loose time-frame, while others require you to finish the work as fast as your mind can produce a thought.  Well this project is of the latter type.
