A new design concept from Argentine design studio Synopsis, inspired with the image of a rainwater flowing on the leaves, is an umbrella that collects rainwater and filters it for drinking purposes.

A very nice rendering tutorial by Anninos Konstantinos, who won first runner up for the GH House Challenge arranged by Ronen Bekerman.

Anninos Konstantinos did a great job building the scene.  Softwares he used were 3ds Max, Photoshop, Onyxtree, VRay plugin and the Object Painter script.

This is a nice short tutorial written by Luis Linares from Kuan Studio for Ronen Bekerman's blog.  It is an architectural visualization of an exterior shot of a residential house.

The modelling of the house was all done using AutoCad except for the grass part, which was done in 3ds max.  All textures used are VRay Materials and rendered using the VRay Physical Camera.

The Vuzzle Cube designed by Christopher Daniel looks like one big transformable puzzle chair design.

A minimalist furniture by Melisa Indra, the Occo Seat Design is both convenient and won't take up too much space.

This is the Four Winds Chair manufactured by Italian-based Nautinox.  It is a four in one chair design that you can easily flip and shift into four types of seating.

A project of designer Guido Garotti, these series of chair designs will be presented at the New Designers in London on 8-10 July this year 2010.

The chairs he designed aims to stimulate through their use, the desire to be kept.  It was designed to have an emotional connection with the user.

This bridge design is from WXY Architecture and Weidlinger Associates Consulting Engineers who have won a design competition to build the Nanhe River Landscape Bridge in Xinjin County, China.

This bridge will cross the river in two interlaced paths.

From designer clothes to skin and hair products, a lot of items nowadays are continuously being developed and designed for women.  Though a lot of them would seem functional and were specifically designed for a woman's use, not all can be considered appealing to most women.

Hufftingtonpost.com came up with a list of weird and crazy products designed for women.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 993 out of 2,004 (49.55%) passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Board of Architecture headed by its Chairman, Arch. Armando N. Alli with two other members, Arch. Angeline T. Chua Chiaco and Arch. Marietta Bundalian Segovia. The examination was held in Manila this June 11 &  13, 2010.

The results were released in five (5) working days after the last day of examination.
