If you are into computer graphics and animation, and maybe a 3d visualization fan like I am, then I'm sure you've heard and maybe have tried using V-Ray for some of your 3d rendering projects. I myself use V-Ray with 3dsmax to produce all the architectural rendering and animation works I get. It's a really powerful rendering system by Chaos Group.

Autodesk UK has just launched an online contest for all those talented 3d artists from the UK and Italy.
Having converted my computer to a 64 bits Windows 7 from an old 32-bits Windows XP, I installed and tried using 3ds max 64 bits version. I was using the 32 bit 3ds max version before on a 32 bit windows XP and was doing fine until I used a 3ds max 2010 64 bit version installed on my girlfriend's laptop running on windows 7. I immediately noticed a difference between using the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version and it actually amazed me.
Two days ago, I was making an interior perspective of a bedroom for a client. The bedroom has a queen size bed and some thick curtains for the sliding doors at the side. I needed a colorful pattern to use as a texture for the beddings and curtains and so I searched online. I'm no longer happy with some of the patterns I had so I thought of searching for new patterns I could use for the fabrics. Fortunately I came across a nice Pattern Maker Online and it did the job of creating new patterns for me to use for my 3d renderings.
